Xmarks Bookmark Service Closing (or not?)

Hard Drive Horror Stories

Here’s another case where you will be glad to have external backups. I read of a case recently where someone took their laptop into be serviced for a loose hinge.  During the repair the service company apparently replaced the hard drive because it was ‘defective’. Where to Backup

These days the most practical methods for backing up is to another disk drive locally and/or online. A local backup is useful for being easy to get to for a restore.
