Here’s a perfect example on why you need to get your data offsite.

Francis Ford Coppola, yes the same one who brought us “The Godfather”, several years ago had a burglary in his house in which his laptop and his onsite backup were stolen. Items lost included a script for a movie he was currently working on as well as family photos and other irreplaceable files.

This shows a excellent reason why you should be sure one of your backups is offsite.  If you don’t and an event like a fire or a burglary could take your data. Please don’t be that person who has to explain to their family, clients or their boss that the photos, project or reports are gone forever.
